Military classes
Use and firing of the Matchlock Musket. You will actually learn to fire a musket.
Use of the Pike and Formation Manuvouers.

What To Bring

• Clothing requirements: Good (non-synthetic) clothing appropriate to the time frame (1580-1650) covered by the school. Those who do not have appropriate clothing should wear jeans and a long sleeve, non-synthetic shirt. Expect that the clothing might get powder stained, muddied, etc. The fort tends to be muddy. Do NOT wear sandals.
• If you are staying overnight please bring sleeping bag/bedroll, pillow and a blanket as one will not be provided. Consider bringing a cot or mattress. The bunk beds are wood. There are straw matresses, but I suspect they are not tremendously comfortable.
• Heavy leather work gloves (military track).
• If you are on the food plan, please bring your own eating utensils: cup, plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon, and napkin. Also bring any special beverages you require; we provide water and coffee.
• Optional military track items to be used following inspection and under direction of appropriate instructors:
  1. Three weapon fencing mask
  2. Padded fencing jacket
  3. Hanwei armour Class/Bailiff Forge blunt swords

Requirements

Civilian Track

• No minimum age
• No mobility requirements

Military Track

• Minimum age of 16
• Must be able to walk and stand for periods of up to 30 minutes
• Must be willing to handle firearms
